After serving for sixteen years as Professor of Theology at Moody Bible Institute, I currently work as an acquisition editor at Moody Publishers. However, my calling and vocation are to academe. I am a teacher at heart who seeks to minister to students and prepare them for the world today, whether as future ministers of the Gospel or as Christian leaders in whatever field they pursue. My heart is open before the Lord and my desire is to advance his work through the noble task of Christian education. I also seek to honor Christ through the important intellectual task of scholarship, writing, and the investigations of the mind, contributing to a community of collegial and scholarly inquiry at whatever school I serve. In addition, I write Christian fiction, which is a delightful use of my creative gifts and serves as an opportunity to reach an audience that may not be part of the academic world. Though I do not have extensive experience in higher education administration, I have natural leadership capacities and I would be open to developing them in the right context. You can learn more about me at Soli Deo Gloria.
