Natural Theology

David Haines was born and raised in Ontario, Canada. He has been married to his wife Laury for more than 10 years and has 4 children. He holds a BTh. from Covington Theological Seminary, an M. A. in Philosophy from Southern Evangelical Seminary, where his Master’s thesis was a Thomistic defense of C. S. Lewis’s Argument from Reason, and a PhD. in philosophy from Université Laval in Québec. His dissertation director was Thomas De Koninck, and his dissertation is called The Question of Being. David has taught numerous courses, for two different Seminaries in Québec, a Classical School in Delaware, and Veritas International University in California, on subjects related to Theology, Apologetics, Biblical Exegesis, Latin, Greek, and Philosophy. He has also given presentations and published articles and a book on subjects related to Natural Theology, Natural Law, and Philosophy of Religion. He has also served the Lord by occupying different pastoral positions in the Association of Evangelical Baptist churches of Québec. He is the founder, and board member, of Association Axiome, an association of French Evangelical Christian Scholars. Though he thoroughly enjoys all branches of philosophy, apologetics, and theology, his most recent research is in Ancient and Medieval Metaphysics, Heidegger’s Ontology, Ancient and Medieval Epistemology, the work of C. S. Lewis, and Natural Theology in the Reformed tradition.
