Artificial Intelligence as a Mirror for Human Hearts

Artificial Intelligence is rapidly changing our lives. Over the past
three years there have been releases of AI tools that can chat and
write, answer questions, create art, and create movies from a still
image. These AI tools are “made in our image.” They are our
creations and thus reflect our priorities and ways-of-being in this
world clearly. In this paper I will argue that more than concerns
about employment and relevance, the picture AI paints of our views of
what it means to be human requires our immediate attention and
engagement. In contrast with God’s first creation in His image, our
digital creations highlights our limitations and sinful desires.
