I am currently a full time associate pastor while also teaching adjunct in a number of locations. I see my vocation as a pastor-scholar, one who helps bridge the academy and the Church. The priority of the local church is central to my thinking about my role in scholarship. In this capacity I am a fellow at the Center for Pastor Theologians, the St. Basil Fellowship. My training is specifically in the Hebrew Bible and Ancient Near East. I would like to teach and train pastors-to-be in my area of scholarly specialties, yet also mentor and disciple them for their future role as pastors.
