Job Description:
Logos Evangelical Seminary invites applications for a full-time faculty position in Practical Theology. The primary responsibilities include teaching courses at the Master’s and Doctor of Ministry (DMin) levels, with a focus on the Master of Arts in Family Ministry (MAFM) and DMin programs. The successful candidate will join a dynamic and collegial faculty committed to academic excellence, spiritual formation, and the training of leaders for Chinese churches around the world.
Responsibilities:
Teach graduate-level courses in Practical Theology, including both core and elective courses in areas such as pastoral ministry, family and marriage, and leadership.
Advise and mentor students in the DMin program, guiding them in research design, writing, and the integration of ministry practice and theological reflection.
Develop and revise course syllabi, assignments, and assessments to align with program learning outcomes and institutional standards.
Collaborate with faculty and administration in the ongoing development and assessment of the DMin and MAFM curricula.
Qualifications:
An earned doctorate (DMin or PhD) in Practical Theology, Pastoral Ministry, or a closely related field from an accredited institution.
Demonstrated excellence in teaching at the graduate level, especially in DMin courses, with a strong commitment to academic rigor and student formation.
A minimum of five years of pastoral ministry experience, preferably in North America.
Bilingual in Mandarin and English, with the ability to work effectively in a bilingual academic and ministry environment.
Evangelical faith and full affirmation of the Statement of Faith of the Evangelical Formosan Church (EFC).
Preferred Qualifications:
A record of publications or ongoing scholarly engagement in the field of Practical Theology.
