Do you believe faithful preaching still changes lives?
Denver Seminary invites you to help shape the future of the Church as the next Haddon W. Robinson Chair of Biblical Preaching— an endowed faculty position honoring one of the most influential voices in evangelical homiletics.
This endowed Chair exists to form the next generation of Christ-centered preachers—equipping men and women to stand where divine revelation meets human need. In the spirit of Dr. Robinson’s legacy, we seek a scholar-practitioner who will train preachers to proclaim Christ from all of Scripture with theological depth, cultural awareness, pastoral sensitivity, and Spirit-empowered conviction; all grounded in the conviction that true preaching is an act of worship that evokes both transformation and doxology.
Institutional Mission:
Founded in 1950, Denver Seminary is a non-denominational, evangelical graduate school located in the foothills of the Rocky Mountains. We prepare men and women to engage the needs of the world with the redemptive power of the gospel and the life-changing truth of Scripture.
Our Core Commitments—Biblical Authority, Charitable Orthodoxy, Vigorous Scholarship, Redemptive Relationships, and Global Concern—shape a learning community that is both deeply rooted and missionally engaged.
With over 6,000 alumni serving across the globe, Denver Seminary offers master’s, doctoral, and certificate programs both on campus and fully online, including at our Washington D.C. and Korean Global campuses.
Essential Responsibilities:
As the Haddon W. Robinson Chair, you will:
• Inspire and equip future preachers to handle the Word faithfully, communicate it clearly, and shepherd God’s people wisely.
• Teach courses in biblical preaching and pastoral ministry across residential, hybrid, and online formats.
• Mentor students in spiritual formation, theological reflection, and vocational discernment.
• Advance scholarship through writing, speaking, and participation in professional societies (e.g., EHS, AAR, ETS).
• Serve as a Seminary ambassador at conferences, churches, and denominational gatherings—representing Denver Seminary and the legacy of Dr. Robinson.
• Collaborate with faculty and leadership to strengthen curriculum, shape strategy, and engage Denver Seminary’s wider ministry initiatives (e.g., The Young Center, The Gospel Initiative, Urban Initiative).
• Contribute to the life of the Seminary through advising, committee work, and active community engagement.
