A critical examination of Anabaptist kinship as an explanation of Baptist origins, with particular attention to the Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary project to celebrate the Radical Reformation. Caution is needed in tying the Anabaptists too closely to Baptists, and reasons are given for why the Anabaptist kinship theory is problematic in trying to account for Baptist origins and identity.
