Erskine College is an agency of the Associate Reformed Presbyterian Church (ARPC), which includes a school devoted to seminary education at the graduate level and biblical and theological studies at the undergraduate level. Erskine Theological Seminary & School of Biblical Studies invites applications for a full-time, tenured-track faculty appointment at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor of Biblical and Theological Studies. The position will start July 1, 2025.
This position entails instructional responsibilities in Bible, theology, church history, and ministry, mostly at the undergraduate level. Depending upon academic qualifications and ministry experience, may teach one–two (1–2) classes at the seminary (graduate) level as part of a full teaching load. This position also encourages continuing scholarship in the area of biblical and theological studies.
Candidates must affirm their personal belief that “The Bible alone, being God-breathed, is the Word of God written, infallible in all that it teaches, and inerrant in the original manuscripts.” They must personally affirming the following question: “Do you accept the doctrines of the Associate Reformed Presbyterian Church, contained in the Westminster Confession of Faith and [Larger and Shorter] Catechisms, as founded on the Word of God and as the expression of your own faith, and do you resolve to adhere thereto?” Candidates must also belong to, or be willing to belong to, a church in the ARPC denomination, or in a denomination that is in fraternal relations with the ARPC (e.g., PCA, EPC, OPC, or RPCNA).
