Bohdan Kuryliak (PhD, University of Zurich) is a Ukrainian Protestant theologian and scholar specializing in New Testament studies. Currently, Bohdan is a Senior Lecturer in New Testament at the Ukrainian Institute of Arts and Sciences (Ukraine) and an adjunct professor at Andrews University (USA). His research interests include the Book of Revelation, Johannine Literature, Eschatology, Exegesis and Hermeneutics, Reception History, and Early Christianity.

Bohdan’s academic journey includes a Master of Arts in Religion with a concentration in Biblical Studies from Andrews University, USA (2021), and a Master of Religious Studies from the National University of Ostroh Academy, Ukraine (2019). He also holds bachelor’s degrees in Theology (2016) and Religious Studies (2017) from the Ukrainian Institute of Arts and Sciences.

Bohdan has extensive teaching experience in New Testament studies, beginning in 2016 at the Bible Institute of the Western Conference, Lviv, Ukraine. In 2018, he became a Lecturer in New Testament at the Ukrainian Institute of Arts and Sciences, and since 2022, he has served as a Senior Lecturer in New Testament.

Bohdan also has international research experience in theological faculties at leading educational institutions, including the University of Oxford, England (2022–2023) and Aarhus University, Denmark (2022). He also has significant administrative experience, having served as Deputy Head of the Department of Philosophy, Theology, and Church History (2022) at the Ukrainian Institute of Arts and Sciences. Additionally, he has worked as Director of Graduate Programs and Technical Editor of the theological journal Graphe (2021–2023).

Bohdan is an active member of professional societies, including the Society of Biblical Literature and the Evangelical Theological Society. He has published thirteen peer-reviewed articles on the Book of Revelation and has presented at fifteen academic conferences. His work has been published by prestigious publishers such as Cambridge University Press, Peeters, De Gruyter, and Mohr Siebeck. Additionally, he served as a pastor in Ukraine for five years. Bohdan is multilingual, with native proficiency in Ukrainian and Russian, advanced proficiency in English, and advanced reading and translation skills in Biblical Greek.
