I am an Evangelical Christian rooted in the Wesleyan Branch of The Great Tradition which the Reformers inherited from the Church Fathers and Thomistic philosophy. I have taught Biblical Studies, primarily Old Testament, to students at all levels from undergraduate to doctoral. I am currently working on a Genesis commentary in Wipf and Stock’s Contextual Critical Commentary series. I have written a multi-volume comprehensive work on the genres and formulae in the Hebrew Bible, and most of a smaller book combatting theological fads (abandonment of objective truth and foundationalism; abandonment of mind/body dualism in favor of physicalism; abandonment of traditional divine attributes such as simplicity and impassibility; and abandonment of traditional ethics and morality). I am searching for a publisher for both these works. I have taught online classes (both synchronous using zoom and asynchronous) and have expertise in Logos Bible Software. I am a member of the National Association of Professors of Hebrew and have an interest in Jewish studies.
