In addition to my current position as a public school English teacher, I serve as adult Sunday school teacher and associate minister in my local congregation, having been ordained to the ministry in 2009. Since my ordination, I have served in various ministry roles, both volunteer and vocational, including as vocational senior pastor. My ministry is fueled by the knowledge and zeal acquired during my studies at Asbury Theological Seminary, during which time I tutored Hebrew and served as a teaching assistant in Greek, eventually becoming the first president of the Gamma Rho Kappa Ancient Greek Honor Society. My doctoral work at Liberty University refined my own research interests in Old Testament studies, specifically Hebrew poetry, the Writings, and the Pentateuch, and I completed my PhD in Bible Exposition in 2023 with a dissertation focusing on the structure and theology of the book of Lamentations.
